One reason why Catholic Modesty is almost shuddered at when heard of is because of well-meaning, but overzealous and uncharitable remarks made by fellow Catholics. We firmly believe that the only way to teach is to do it with a smile. As St. Francis de Sales once said, “A spoonful of honey attracts more flies than a barrelful of vinegar.” That is exactly how we desire to spread the facts, findings, and particulars about Catholic Modesty.

The idea for this website came to us when we were searching for real answers concerning Catholic Modesty for our own selves. Most information we found contradicted what we had found earlier. For example:

One large group of Catholics seemed to believe that elbows were truly sinful, whereas the other group seemed to downplay the importance and seriousness of modesty in dress altogether. A third group agreed on its importance but didn’t give any real information concerning Modesty that didn’t contradict itself.

We wanted a place where Catholics, like ourselves, could go to research for themselves what The Catholic Church says about Modesty, in all its forms (thought, word, speech, dress, example and so on). A place that wasn’t pushing an agenda and was just there simply to give information.

A place that was honest, helpful and one hundred percent Catholic.

Here we answer the most asked questions about Catholic Modesty, and more. If we do not know the answer, we will be honest and let you know! We are always learning as you are!

Please feel free to snoop around! We are also very active on Social Media and have (too much) fun sharing Modest fashion ideas, as well as tips and tricks along the way.
